Design office manager
Within an industrial company, the design office manager leads a team (design project manager, design technicians, etc.) and supervises their studies, to work on the creation of new products and on the improvement of manufacturing processes. He/she is in permanent contact with customers and suppliers but also with the production, purchasing, R&D departments, etc.
"I have always worked in the design office field. Starting as a Design Technician, I have gained skills over the years. I have carried out numerous projects as a Design Project Manager before becoming Head of the Design Department of my company. Today, I know all the ins and outs of the profession and I am more in touch with the clients and subcontractors with whom I work on a daily basis. As manager of a team of 5 people, I have to define and validate the manufacturing projects to be implemented."
