On 6 December, Cartonnerie Gondardennes (CGW Packaging Group) was awarded the ‘Industry of the Future Showcase’ label by Alliance Industrie du Futur / Filière Solutions Industrie du Futur at the Rencontres Entreprises et Territoires (EET) at the headquarters of the Hauts-de-France Region.

This prestigious accolade recognises exemplary, innovative companies that embody the industry of the future. Cartonnerie Gondardennes, leader in corrugated sheetboard since 1897, has never stopped innovating. Today, it is taking a major step forward by integrating high added-value digital and ecological solutions.

Decarbonisation and Green Energy:

• 35% of energy needs covered by a 4 km heating network, supplied by a Centre de Valorisation Énergétique (CVE).
• + More than 20,000 tonnes of CO2 avoided every year!

Responsible water management :

• Zero discharge recycling circuit and rainwater recovery over 17 ha.
• Water consumption divided by 4 compared with a conventional paper mill (2.7 m³/t compared with 10 m³/t).
• The Artois-Picardy Water Agency has described the project as ‘exemplary’.

• Advanced digital solutions to optimise production and customise packaging.
