Technical sales representatives

The industrial technical sales representative is a seller of products and services, with both technical and commercial know-how. His role is to prospect a clientele of professionals, propose technical solutions according to the needs and requirements of the client and negotiate the commercial conditions of the sale. Depending on the company, he may be responsible for coordinating a sales team and leading a network of sales representatives. From the first contact to after-sales service, he is the sole contact for his customers, their relay with the company's services (research and development, quality, maintenance, etc.) and the manager of their project (planning, costs, etc.). 

"After a DUT in packaging engineering, I found a job as a technical sales representative in a cardboard company. My job consists of meeting customers, analyzing their needs, proposing packaging and sending them the corresponding quote. Subsequently, I have to follow the order, from production to delivery. To do this, in the design office, I create prototypes on a cutting table, which I propose to the customer in order to validate the dimensions or the quality of the cardboard. I also use DTP software in order to implement the desired graphics."
